I just tested the download and it works fine. Maybe your download got interrupted or corrupted somehow? Try getting the file again.

Try this file out. MOPs Reorient is generally how you'd set this up if you wanted to use a shape to determine the "forward" or Z direction of packed points as you move them. You could also probably get something similar using metaballs and the Magnet SOP, or other deformers.

The example files mentioned in the MOPs DOPs tutorial on the wiki are all included in the download of MOPs Plus. Check the /examples/ folder in the MOPs Plus installation path.

On unpacked geometry, MOPs Apply Attributes works a little like a blend shape. It'll linearly interpolate template point attributes like P, orient, and scale, depending on the value of the falloff attribute. Uncheck "Generate Vertex Normals" on the MOPs Explode node and it will keep the original vertex normals of each face.

It looks like you don't have regular MOPs installed properly. You need MOPs to run MOPs Plus.

Is this the same scene as before? If so, try leaving "maintain focal point" on, and set "maintain distance" to zero. If it's a different scene, can you send me the hip?
