I just tested the download and it works fine. Maybe your download got interrupted or corrupted somehow? Try getting the file again.

What version of Houdini are you? Mine is 18.5.633

How are you downloading these files? If you click on the links, you should be taken to a page with a "Download" button. It looks like the attached image below.

Hahaha, honest mistake. That .hip file header error still seems strange, though-- if you didn't have MOPs installed, what should happen is the file will tell you that there are missing definitions, not that the header itself is not found. Try downloading the .hip files using that button I showed you once you've installed MOPs, and let me know if that works.
